EP’S HISTORY.
We are driven by a deep passion for developing systems that can do more, and always better. This dedication to any project forges our identity, strengthening the synergy between our experts in hydraulics, electrohydraulics, pneumatics, electrification, and filtration. It allows us to find unique solutions to any complex problem or challenge.
1974
March 28: acquisition by S. Huot of Engrenage Provincial DRD inc. (for Dufour, Robitaille and Deschênes), a company founded in 1972.
In May: moved from 174 avenue Renaud in Quebec to 1190 rue Vincent-Massey.
1978
Purchase in April. In August, possession was taken of the building located at 960 rue Sainte-Thérèse in Quebec (now rue Raoul-Jobin).
1987
First expansion of the Quebec premises to include a warehouse and technical office.
1992
Creation of the repair department.
1995
In October: opening of the Chicoutimi office located at 1323 rue Bersimis.
1996
Creation of the training department.
In October: opening of Hydraulique EP at its current location (1500K rue Nobel in Boucherville), with an area of 10,000 square feet.
1998
Creation of the manufacturing department.
2003
In October: moved from the Chicoutimi office (Saguenay since 2002) to 2314 boulevard Saint-Paul.
2004
Creation of the electrical department.
2005
Second expansion of the head office dedicated to the repair shop and storage.
2008
Launch of Hydraulique Nord-Ouest in Abitibi.
2011
Creation of the tire department
Expansion of the offices at 990 rue Raoul Jobin and relocation of the administration to these premises.
2012
Creation of the filtration department.
2014
Purchase of the 36,000 square foot building in Quebec that houses the head office and its 100 employees at 165 boulevard des Cèdres.
2016
New identity for Engrenage provincial: Groupe EP.
A standardized branch nomenclature: a territorial approach beyond specialties, with EP as the basis for current and future deployment.
New building with an area of 12,000 square feet for the Saguenay branch.
2017
Acquisition of Lubrification Québec by Groupe EP.
2019
New building for Lubrification Québec: 15,000 square feet.
Expansion of the Val-d’Or branch: 8,000 square feet.
